Completely quiet in a large plot of land with olive and pine trees on a hillside on the outskirts of the nice place Mavrovouni. The plant is above the long sandy beach, which is reached via a small side street. Along the beach there are 3 tavernas and a beach, 1.5 km away there is a surf school.

Three taverns and snack bar are located about 300m above the plant, a small supermarket at 400m, a large supermarket and a bakery on the outskirts of Mavrovouni in about 600m distance. Beach: sand-free beach of Mavrovouni, about 350m walk.

Cavo Grosso bungalows are built over the unique four-mile long beach of Mavrovouni by the crystal clear sea of the Laconic gulfs just a mile\'s distance from picturesque Gythion. They consist of 27 small \"castles\" the colour of the rocks; each one is a separate roomy bungalow 495 sq.ft. in area including bedroom, sitting-room, bathroom, kitchen with a fridge and a range for coffee or tea and a private court of 269 sq.ft.

The main building houses the reception, restaurant, cafeteria and the T.V. room. All the rooms have been renovated. \"Cavo Grosso\" is the ideal starting point for excursions to the famous Diros caves, Mani Towersand churches, the Byzantine city of Mystras, Monemvassia and Sparta, Kythera, Crete. Transport from Athens: 6 buses daily to Gythion, flying dolphins to Monemvassia aeroplane to Kalamata, ferry boat to Monemvassia, Gythion, Kythera and Crete.
